This leather comes from the horween tannery, in chicago, which is famous for being the historical maker of the cordovan leather.
created specifically for the making of basket balls and football balls, has been used since more than fifty years by the biggest american ball maker.
while most of today’s balls are not any more made in leather, It is still being used for exceptional events such as the superbowl.
this leather is super solid and its coating and specific grain makes it stain and scratch resistant.
