the wig, or wig work, describes the act of a craftsman designing and producing objects at his workplace, with the tools and materials made available by his employer, for his personal use.
objects made in wigs, often unique, sometimes surprising, exist outside the traditional commercial framework, and are the opportunity for the craftsman to abstract himself from his hierarchy, creations imposed by his employer to finally regain control of his knowledge -do in complete freedom.

Whether they are tools intended to assist the craftsman in his profession, a souvenir brought back from the workplace, a gift offered to a loved one, or even an object intended for sale on the black market, these objects, which are sometimes real works of popular art, carry within them a very particular poetry.
These pages are intended to present some objects made in wig crossed here and there by our friend Francine Barancourt, anthropologist, and is presented as her field notebook

Strap Key-Holder

A new addition to our collection, this sophisticated and functional key ring features a leather strap tied at its end, to which a silver ring is attached.
A testament to the expertise of our craftsmen, it is made from a strip of exceptional leather measuring 3 centimetres by 1.20 metres (as much material as a large belt), meticulously folded, padded and stitched on itself.
Its streamlined shape means it can be worn in many different ways: around the neck, attached to the handle of a bag, to a belt, or even tied around itself to keep in a pocket.
